I have always worn gold jewelry with my white skirt suit but today when I was looking through clothes on Spiegel all their models were wearing silver jewelry/silver shoes. Which is more appropriate? Thanks!

IMO: Nicole you appear to have a great fashion sense. I believe you can do no wrong in whatever you decide to wear.
depends on what type of makeup you will be wearing, handbag carried, and shoes. Also the event you are going to. Silver and gold are traditional colors, but you could also add a little color. If your shoes are multi colored you could pick a color from them.
you can wear black and white beaded jewelry or silver and blue or mixed metal jewelry. it depends on your top/blouse. just put a little color in your jewelry coz white skirt suit is already plain so play with your accessories.
I think it depends on the material. To me a white linen suit would look better with gold jewelry, however, a white silk suit (or of other thick material) would look better with silver jewelry.

I think it personally depends on your skin tone more than your outfits, but prefer a woman to wear more silver/white gold jewelry.. It seems to go more with several outfits, very classy, and trendy now

white gold every time. emerald insets go well with green eyes, sapphires with blue eyes maybe. More than anything though, wear what makes YOU feel comfortable. When you feel great everything works doesn’t it?!
