The usual fashion label has ready-to-wear, resort and accessories as well as a ton of clothes that don’t make it on the runway. I know that the creative directors must work with a team to design all of this, so how much does the team contribute?

It depends completely on the individual line.
Most fashion designers start off and design the whole range themselves but as the brand get bigger teams are employed to design, research, cost and manufacture the garments.
After a while the fashion designer sits back and manages the business and only over luckss the designs and helps pick the best garments for production.
All designers work with teams, but unless the brand is very exapansive the designer does typically have a say in nearly every garment. Most likely, the designer will come up with a certain theme or a few sketches for the next collection, assistants will create new looks based on these, and the head designer will preside over the exectution of them all and help pick which ones fit with the vision. The designers work their asses off, but they need a lot of help so the team actually does most of the work.
Yeah wat he said…that’s what got their names on the labels because they do the work although they have advisers and people to inspire them…but they do most of the work in designing the original clothes then of course they have professional top-notch sewers (i think) but of course they have to know how to sew that’s like… a requirement, but yeah that. LOL
